I just took a closer look at my email and noticed that it says I've requalified for 1P for 2011 (currently 1P in 2010). I didn't read it that closely the first time and had assumed that it was telling me I had made 2P given that I'm still ~4k EQMs shy of 50k right now.

I do have a SFO-NRT-PEK-SFO flight booked for December, but am unsure what, if any, impact this has. I suppose it's a good thing from a waste standpoint that they don't send me a 2P packet, only to have to send me a 1P one as well. But I thought UA was quite strict on the qualification thresholds...1 mile or a few thousand miles short, you ain't in!
