does the TSA have employees who were former DDR or USSR government employees? (FOIA?)
my German friend once told me that many former DDR(East German) governments were forbidden to work in many jobs... the restriction is still in effect as of today, two decades after reunification of Germany. a lot of these were former security/police/military employees and their pensions were taken away by the German(Federal Republic) government after reunification. A lot of these folks are still only in their 50's and 60's.

I wonder if any of them emigrated to the US and took jobs at TSA? Can a FOIA request compel the TSA to disclose such information?
