About to experience BA long Haul for the first time in a couple of weeks with a WT+ flight booked to India. As I expect to repeat this trip a few times next year I transfered some SPG points using the current offer discussed in another thread.

My question is what is the chance of being able to use these miles a week before the flights. I ask because there is no availability at the moment but the BAEC told me that often more seats get released 7 days before the flight.

Any one any positive experiences of this?
