Not quite, there were three different sets of pay and conditions at BHX - BA, BA Regional (ex-Brymon) and Maersk. Also, BHX and MAN crew had long since been sold down the river by BASSA to preserve conditions on Heathrow WorldWide.

BHX actually made money most years, but rarely a lot - it managed this because it had kept the low-costs out to please BA. However, BA didn't promote the place very well, especially through BAEC and Club loads were low (especially as got inferior meal services).
