An no, you ask passengers to lift the shirt slightly, and some just go ahead and lift it all the way up. At this point the screener should use common sense and have him lower the shirt somewhat.
That seems to be what I see as well.

But of course, it's the pax fault. I'm sure the pax has experienced this procedure many times before and should know that when the screener says 'raise your shirt' he means 'lift your shirt so I can get my hands, sorry, just my fingers, down your pants'.

I'm sure it's SOP to say 'raise your shirt slightly' and I'm sure all TSOs follow the SOP to the letter all the time. And I'm sure it's quiet in the screening area and the TSO enunciated clearly and the pax heard clearly and just decided to do what he felt like doing.

Stupid stupid pax, always making TSAs job so hard. Bad pax should all just stay home.
