Checked the upgrade box at OLCI for my SLC-SEA flight Friday evening, got the "on upgrade list" response. Spent a couple of hours in the SLC Sky Club F, read some of the rants on the Delta Forum about DM's being 15th on the upgrade list or 70 medallions on a flight, and didn't get my hopes up. Lo and behold, when I went to the gate I looked at the monitor and I was on the cleared list for an upgrade. So, even if it was the worst seat in F, 1D (bulkhead window), after 2 mixed drinks and some goodies from the magic basket, I was feeling pretty good. Certainly helped that it was a 757-2 with all those seats up front. Thanks AS and DL for finally getting the upgrade process in place.
