There is no way that you can be put through the AIT imager. The expectation for the young child is that someone that age cannot be told to hold still. If a person moves while in the ait then the image can become blurred and the result is the standard patdown. I would suggest that you present at the walk through metal detector and carry your child. You can set the child down have them walk to you or before you through it. If you have to carry the child then you are ok unless the child is in a carrier that is strapped to your body. You would be informed that you should remove the carrier in the interest of time and submit it through the x-ray. You then walk through and you can carry the child. On the outside chance that you or the child are subject to a patdown. The rules have changed for the better with respect to children.
