My comment about fewer miles refer to BC & FC awards. A 20K mileage limit is only 130K FF miles in BC while the same AA/BA award is 150K FF miles. Also, more stopover opportunities with the OW award. My experience is that availability is easier to get. Ignore all of the above for coach award seats.
