I'm trying to do research for a trip I want to take to SJU in a few months. I'm trying to redeem a standard award (my dates are flexible).

I would like to know what the standard award fare classes are, since I'm doing my research on ITN (aa.com is no help). If standard award fare classes aren't available on ITN, is there someplace else I can go?

AA don't have "Standard"-- there's PlanAAhead and AAnytime. Some airlines call the higher-mileage ones "Standard".

AAnytime awards use Y/J/F for Coach/Bus/First, full fare inventory. Every flight is yours for the taking.

Plan AAhead is trickier. Domestic Segments are T/Z for two-class, T/U/Z for three-class.
Caribbean segments are T/U for two-class, because First is re-labeled "Business".

A coach award to SJU needs T segments. A first award needs a mixture of Z and U. There is a fare bucket tool available nowadays so you can plan.
