AGR to OnePass - is it $200 SPEND or $200 TRAVEL?
I have 25k AGR points through a Chase Amtrack Guest Rewards Mastercard promo that I would like to transfer to Continental. The requirements state:
•Members with current Amtrak Guest Rewards Select or Select Plus status, with an annual point transfer limit of 50,000
•Cardholders of the Amtrak Guest Rewards® MasterCard® issued by Chase Bank with an Amtrak travel spend on the card of over $200 per calendar year, with an annual point transfer limit of 25,000 per year
I do not have any Amtrack status or travel. Would booking a $200+ refundable ticket count as "Amtrak travel spend" in order to transfer points then cancel ticket later?
Apologies if this has already been asked/answered. It would seem like a common question so searched around a bit but did not find anyone specifically mentioning this approach.
