1. It's a subtle way to protest the TSA screenings and
2. They don't want to offend travelers any further and perhaps lose them altogether so they are refunding tickets.
Yet I'm going to guess that sooner or later, media critical mass will have been reached, and tickets purchased after a certain date will be non-refundable again. They're response will be it's in the media, you should have known. Buy before the changes, ok. Buy after the changes, not ok.
