Post-cruise last-minute MileSAAver advice from SJU

Hi - I will be coming into SJU from a TATL cruise the morning of 12/12. Cruise was sort of a last minute idea to cap off a RTW trip so by the time we booked, there was very little MileSAAver availability from SJU to the West Coast (SJC). I managed to cobble together a flight out on 12/13 with an overnight in DFW (PointBreaks!) booking as a single 17.5K MileSAAver using last-in/first-out rule for Flex Awards. SJU-STX-MIA-DFW-(o/n)-SJC. Given that, we can live with it so are not interested in spending more miles for AAnytime.

Ideally some space will open on SJU-LAX-SJC on 12/12 but I know that is less than a million-to-one. Since we have been traveling for months and months, we really just want to get off the ship and get back to SJC as soon as possible, not interested in seeing PR at this time. Hopefully SJU-MIA opens up so at the very least we don't have to do SJU-STX-MIA...

Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas besides continually checking routings like SJU-(PHL/BOS/BDL/IAD/BWI/JFK/MIA/TPA/ORD/LAX/DFW)-SJC. Any other connections out of SJU I'm missing? Right now I can get SJU-STX-MIA on 12/12 (last in), but then there's nothing first-out MIA-XXX-SJC on the morning of 12/13. I'll keep checking that one for sure.

Considering going to the airport as early as possible on the 12th after the cruise and trying to find some sort of routings that have opened up but maybe that's useless? Can't really do 'stand-by' on award travel, right? We would be paying a heavy price to get online to check availability in the week prior to disembarking since we'll be crossing the Atlantic.
