I bought (for my Dell laptop) a targus adapter and also a Radio Shack adapter, both for cigarette lighters. I first tested them in my car and they both worked. However when I was on board a 763, the Radio Shack adapter didn't work but the targus one did.. go figure.. when I returned the RS adapter, the guy at RS told me that not all car adapters work on aircraft.
