She says that she absolutely loves it now that she has been forced to get on with it, but for the first 3 to 4 months, she hated it and found it really difficult, till she "got the balls" (her words!) to tell people what to do. She said, not in a nasty way, but she had to organize people, including the CSD with their bar and and food service stuff. Telling them not to take XY and Z because AB and C were not ready yet etc...
Generally Club is the last cabin the crew will pick, and the galley position will be the last position to go. Love you loads Club passengers but you can be a demanding bunch sometimes so crew will generally pick anywhere else but Club if they are given the choice!!!
This can then leave the most junior member of crew trying to organise the service in Club in the absence of the CSD. Some crew are not phased by having to organise themselves and others just can't handle it very well, and our colleagues don't always make it easy on them. If everyone follows the Club Guidelines the service will flow and work well, but Club needs a strong character there all the time to make sure this happens. Some of the crew do like working Club galley and do their job really well, but when it falls to the last man/girl standing it can all go pear shape if everyone doesn't pull together.
