As an EXP I have rarely been upgraded flying solo. However, when I fly with family (all PLATs), there are times we have to go in coach. Also, we are trying to bring up children to experience and accept coach class travel. In these cases, it is hard for me to think of flying AA in coach without MRTC. Right now, if I plan on coach travel, I choose MRTC options.

Jetblue is now offering more room in most rows and their RJs will be even better I believe (wider?). ATA is adding First class. LCCs are now talking about flying trans-Atlantic.

I cannot understand why AA would have to ditch MRTC fleetwide. It would be a bad error. Despite my millions of miles and lifetime PLAT status, I will probably switch over to Star network.
