I dont have a 1 quart bag but do have a gallon size bag. The few times I have gone through the local checkpoint (DEN) I would pull it out as per the TSA website instructions and never had anyone say anything (about the size of the bag or my large tube of toothepaste). After reading about other FT people not bothering to take it out at all, I tried that and was successful. Until my last trip. The clerk not only scolded me for not taking it out (he also mentioned that it was too large of a bag), he confiscated my toothepaste. I am thinking he wont have cavities at his next dental check up.
