Some speculation --

We know that AA is working fervently to implement Electronic VIP Upgrades for EXP's. Other messages in this forum indicated there were problems with tying the new EVIP's into the existing 500-Mile Segment Upgrade system.

This problem has a simple solution: get rid of 500-Mile Segment Upgrades for EXP's! The problem goes AAwAAy! Now AA can easily proceed with their planned implementation of Electronic VIP's.

Again, the above is pure speculation. Sometimes it's fun to speculate.

Let's further speculate that, due to a programming glitch, they won't Zero Out our banked Segment Upgrades. So, when the new system rolls out next month, I won't have any 500-mile Segment Upgrades, but I'll have EIGHTY FIVE electronic VIP04's!

We can always hope!
