So my gf and I are staying with my mother in Kent over xmas. We leave back to phx on 12/30. I would like to take my gf to London our last night on the 29th and shoot to LHR in the morning (saving my mom a 1.5 hour drive). I have stayed in the Hilton Waldorf there in Covent Garden and yes it's stunning and centrally located, but I'm worried it will be a time consuming, 10+ stop on the tube the next morning to T4. My other idea was to stay at the Hilton Paddington. We could use the tube to get around on the 29th and on the 30th just walk over to the Heathrow express and be there in 15 minutes. Our lhr-iad flight leaves at noon, but I love convenience. If we stay at the Waldorf we'd probably have to schlep ourselves down to charing cross, or embankement tube and take the tube all the way to LHR.

What would you do? Hotel cost isn't an issue as it's a hhonors reward.
