There is very little impact on UA and CO elites below the 75K level. Most of the "enhancements" affect the current UA 1K's. AA is certainly the most generous carrier with respect to those who fly in excess of 100K/yr and probably the most direct competitor to the current UA.
I think where US stands to gain the most is if the new management team decides to rip E+ out of the UA fleet. At that point, UA truly does lose its competitive edge for the vast majority of the elite base.
