There was a discussion of TSA training elsewhere in the forum recently. Apparently standardized training wasn't really implemented until 2009, and most TSOs either haven't been given it or were rushed through it.

If they'd set up some training computers at the checkpoints, they could have 5 working & 10 training instead of 5 working & 10 standing.
