That's a nice way of handling it. I would accept that explanation. In fact I though one UA exchange of information did present it something like that.
While I would like that, I don't think it makes sense as an explanation of what UA intended. Because for the miles you flew in 2010, you already earned CR-1s in 2010 for it, so why would UA also give you CR-1s in 2011 based on your 2010 flying?
