Trying mid week late March, both trips in 1 day.

1. Start at LGA or FLL? I'll fly up or down the night before.
2. Priceline hotel LGA or FLL 3 star?
3. Can I get boarding passes for both R/T from home or hotel computer before I start to alleviate security?
4. Is 55 minutes enough at LGA and FLL (weather permitting?)
5. Your guess on what a GA would do if weather or a bump made me miss the next segment?
My Son wants the award ticket as a graduation present. Thanks for your input.
