Check LAN (Lansing) also. GRR will probably be as high as flying into DTW.
GRR would be roughly a three hour drive, so it's really worth it.
LAN has worked for us one time, FNT many and has saved us as much as 50% (plus the segments/miles).
Many people from the northern Detroit suburbs use FNT and it's a very easy airport to use.
