What kind of a joke is T5 "Fast" Track?
Just arrived with a zillion other pax at T5. To my surprise, amazement and delight, I was the only person using Fast Track flight connections. Nobody else in sight either in front or behind me. The other side, however, was a zoo. As I walked up the dedicated Fast Track escalator, I must have overtaken dozens of pax on the packed parallel one. Checkpoints 11-14 had been assigned to Fast Track, but needless to say there was no access from the top of the escalator, I had to proceed to the entry point at #11. All the pax coming off the parallel escalator did the same, and were all waved through by the lady manning the entry point, who hardly bothered to look at any boarding cards that were proffered. Most pax did not even show one. When I pointed out to the lady that none of these people were actually eligible for Fast Track, she suddenly started checking boarding cards, at least for the minute or so that I kept an eye on here.
Security at T5 is bad enough as is. Isn't proper policing of the Fast Track lanes the very least one should expect?
