Had a chance to dine at Loire, a small contemporary French bistro, which had some incredible food. Their lamb "burger" is the finest rendition I have had. Compact wine list with great atmosphere and food this is a good choice.

I also enjoyed Mercatto -- the one on Bay and Adelaide. Good pizzas and pastas and quite reasonable given the Bay Street location.

Anonna in the Park Hyatt was very decent as well -- the breakfasts are excellent and their dinners are pretty good. The fish special (swordfish and ahi tuna) was quite nice, if not a little heavy for a west coaster.

One by Mark McEwen, in teh Hazelton Hotel, serves probably the best eggs benny I have ever had. Well worth it!!
