Anyway, my two questions are...

Is it still okay to bring our own alcohol onboard as long as a FA serves it?

FAA policy is that you can bring alcohol and have a FA serve it.

AA's policy has been changed to state that you may only consume alcohol purchased on AA. Since AA's policy is on file with the FAA the answer is that you may not drink your own alcohol, evern if an FA serves it, on American Airlines.

Have you ever flown any major Asian airlines, and if so what did you think of the service and appearance of the crew?

I used to work for a charter airline and travelled extensively on many major carriers, a number of which were Asian carriers. I thought the crews all looked as though they came from the same cookie cutter. I found the women a little too timid and the men, many times, aggressive toward female passengers. Many frequent fliers who use their mileage on CX and SQ probably don't encounter the same things I did because they are male and get a little more respect from the male FA's and probably enjoy the subservience of the female FA's.
