I say there is nothing wrong with looking out the window, no mater for how long or when. If there is a desire to have the shade closed I close it after I am done looking out.
There is a hazard in having the F/A clean the lav since s/he may be serving food soon thereafter and might have missed a spot when washing his/her hands in between.
Why wait to take the plastic wrap off the meal until just before handing it to the passenger? So the meal will stay warm longer.
How to avoid injuring yourself handling baggage? Insist that the asker proffer you the handle and also do some of the work.
Always worthy of a complaint letter:
Bumping into pax repeatedly even when pax have legs, shoulders, etc. partilly in the aisle. F/A's weight is irrelevant.
Yelling at pax even once when the surroundings are quiet enough for normal talking.
