LAX-HNL is a little over 5 hrs; DFW is a bit over 8 hrs. Some LAX-HNL flights are operated by 757s; both DFW-HNL flights are operated by 763s. Meal service is pretty much the same on both. You get an extra snack out of DFW which lately has been a few grapes, cheese wedges and crackers. If you're looking for better food, bring your own. The most important thing is to ensure you are on a 763 (assuming you're in first). These planes have 60" pitch seats which is the only real selling point. Avoid the 757s out of LAX.
