Is ExecutiveFirst food always this bad?

After flying Skyteam for many years I finally made the switch to Star and had the opportunity to sample AC J on a YYZ-CDG flight a few weeks ago. I generally don't have high expectations of airplane food, but the meals on this flights were appallingly bad. Some observations:

- The smoked salmon fillet appetizer was as hard as a brick and quite tasteless.
- I had the cajun halibut as the main. It was presented with steamed rice, some sad looking veggies, no sauce and had zero taste. Honestly I had better fish in a presidents choice tv dinner.
- The ice cream was still frozen inside, so it was 80% ice and 20% cream.
- The croissant served for breakfast was soggy as if it had been sitting on the plane for a few days.
- The dinner rolls were served cold -- can't they heat them up?

Overall very disappointing. On the contrary, I had a much better tasting meal with warm rolls on the 1-hour CDG-MUC Lufthansa flight. Also, the food on Lufthansa business on my return was superb.

This was my first AC international J experience. Is this an isolated incident or is the food/catering always this poor?
