I also use the 1cpm limit... but in my case I did the transfer as I had 24k sitting split across 3 family members accounts. So each had 8k sitting quite uselessly, and those miles were gained essentially "free" through the RDU promo (basically round trip RDU-LGA-JFK-RDU, ending in 8.5k each) so I kind of felt I was getting 14k for $110 each, so 0.7cpm. YMMV. And I am working towards a big redemption one way or another, it is not an accrual exercise
