New Hotel opened August 2010.

Very impressive five star hotel. Checked in as a Plat and was upgraded to suite. Beautiful layout with two 40 inch flat screen TV’s, walk-in closet, two bathrooms, soaking tub, shower, remote control bathroom shades, full living room, oversized desk/workstation, in wall USB/subD/S-video jacks, etc. One of the best rooms I have ever had in my eight years as a Plat.

Check-in was flawless. My no-status colleague was upgraded to the Starwood Preferred floor because he was with me. Large Lounge is very nice with full selection of beverages including liquor. Nice evening appetizers both cold and hot. For breakfast, as a Plat, I can have it in lounge or restaurant on first floor.

There are three restaurants on site. Two of them are high-end, one Chinese and one Japanese. We had excellent Sushi at Japanese.

Was given complimentary 15 minute massage at the spa – the welcome letter offered it. The rate is 688RMB/ni ($98 USD). Quite the deal given the quality! I have to drive an extra 45 minutes each way to stay here – instead of 3 star Chinese hotel – and will probably do it because they do a great job presenting a Western experience.
