I have way better experiences with fraud cases and dispute resolution done by Amex vs. Visa or MC.
I do use Citi Platinum though for all groceries shopping and department store buys to balance things a bit. and take advantage of 2mls per 1$.
Hmm, I don't think AMEX KF Gold will waive the $60 admin fee for you rite? You have to pay the S$60 admin fee. But the annual fee of S$50 can be waived.
In addition, AMEX only credit your bonus miles in February of the following year, so if you need the miles urgently, you got to wait.
After 50% + 50% bonus, the rate becomes S$0.80 for 1 mile. You need to spend $12,000. Personally, my household expenses dun reach that amount in a year, from 1st Jan to 31st Dec.
For personal purchases, AMEX's conversion rate for foreign transactions is very high, compared to VISA/MasterCard.
Glad that you are using Citi Platinum VISA for groceries, 5x rewards. For Departmental stores n other shopping, you can use the Citi rewards card for 10x rewards, compared to Platinum Visa which awards 5x. The citidollars from both card can be combined for redemption by calling Citibank up.
There is a clause in their Citi Rewards Terms & Conditions:
3.7 If a cardmember has more than 1 card, Citi Dollars earned on all card accounts may be aggregated for purposes of redemption of Rewards.
