Is there a bit of sensationalism in this news article here? Is the news article misquoting Aviation Week's quote of the situation out of context?
The article also mentions that out of the total 38 A380s that are flying, 21 are Rolls Royce (RR) powered and then names only the carriers that operate the RR powered 380s. So the rest of the 17 A380s are all operating out of the largest airline fleet by EK, whose A380s are all Engine Alliance GP7000 powered planes. All 17 of these planes have not been grounded. This article never mentions that.
