Hi everyone -- new here.

I've been scanning for a May 17/18 outbound flight from JFK to CDG or BRU and May 30/31 return flight from BRU or CDG. Basically, I need to leave from JFK, visit Paris and Brussels and am willing to take trains or whatever to make sure that happens, then return to JFK. Sometimes no flights are offered back to JFK but if I tell the website I want to return to SFO from Europe, they show a connecting flight at JFK... and I have no problem walking off the plane at that point and going home (carry-on luggage only, of course).

Anyway! The question is: is there any predictability to how AA changes the availability of the 30k and 50k dates? It seems like every time I check, there's always issues. I saw an itinerary I wanted on September 19th but that hold expired. Is it too late to hope for May dates to open up? Should I just book what I can get at this point?
