Will AA match a 100K CO to exec plat? The recently announced new CO/UA plan frankly sucks. All my work travel is domestic, however I travel to LHR twice a year to visit my family. Can one take the phx-lhr flight now and get AA EQM's?

No match to EXP in general. The challenge to Platinum is pretty easy and fast though and your upgrade percentage on AA as lat is going to be high. Bad news is that each 500mile cert costs $30, but you can apply it to a dirt cheap fare which means you should still be ahead of CO's current system where you are effectively faced with having to buy YBM fares to have a decent upgrade percentage.
On PHX-LHR, you will indeed earn EQMs both on AA and BA.
