Differences:
- If you are a Royal Ambassador Platinum, you are a Priority Club Platinum as well. If you are a Priority Club Platinum, you are not necessarily a Royal Ambassador Platinum.

- RA Plat is invitation only. PC Platinum is earned through known amount of points or stays.

Would I get to keep the former even if I didn't stay much at IC hotels this year?
Unlikely unless your 'not much' is still above the minimum criteria at InterContinental AND the total amount of stay at IHG hotels (IC, HI, HIX, Indigo, CP, etc) is sufficient for requalification.
