Not always, latex gloves come in colors as well. TSAs improper use of gloves has been a big issue for me for a long time, especially when i have seen them pick there butt and nose and then go to grab my bag (yuck). also watched a clerk go into the restroom for 10 minutes then come out with the same gloves on. needless to say i followed him back to the checkpoint to talk to his stupervisor.


Needless to say I state that I want there gloves changed before touching my property. Any resistance and ill be calling for a supervisor in short order.

Then CP sanitation is a big issue especially since i have picked up contact dermatitis from filthy floors and on my hands at LAX T4 in 2007. TSA doesn't seem to care about anyone considering the germs and microbes that have come up on swabs at various checkpoints in the past two years. Instead of spending all this money or porn-o-vision they could spend it on bleach and santi-wipes.

Trust me i learned the hardway about latex gloves and colors. Im sensitive to latex, and the powder (there's a difference between sensitive and allergic), when a student brought a box of gloves with them that were the same color as the ones i use (Dark Gray nitrile kimberly and clark -- there great there thin yet strong so i still have my tactile touch when starting IVs). well we got a nasty trauma call where i had to change gloves during transport, big mistake because they were powdered latex and as soon as i put them on i knew there was going to be a problem. Even only 15 seconds of having them on caused my hands to turn red for 3 days and itch like you cant believe (no respiratory symptoms - if that had happened i would have been in the ER and then sent home for the day).
