As a "jerk" who has asked (and received) the $100 many times, you simply tell the manager what benefit was not offered, and $100 cash shows up. I always give them a chance to make it right, sometimes twice.
They are never happy about it I had one say "no one has ever asked for this" oh well, there's a first time for everything buddy.
