I'm trying to get to Madrid from NYC with a friend of mine. I want to fly the main international portion on American so I can use my VIP03's for both of us. Looks like American goes to London, Paris, Brussels, and Zurich from NYC. So I could fly to any of those cities, and then on to Madrid. I was on the phone with the EXP desk for an hour, and didn't seem to find a fare below $800. Any advice on how to get a ticket from $500-$700 a piece? My travel plans are flexible from mid May to mid September. If not, which would you recommend...using 120,000 points for two coach tickets, or 180,000 points for two business class tickets? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
