That's why you document every conversation and person you dealt with. They're obviously making stuff up. Do a chargeback, and I was you I'd also consider posting a report on TripAdvisor, and any other place you think it would bring attention to their actions.
Yep, I replied back with the names of the people I talked to on that day, front desk + housekeeping manager.
I am just trying to be nice and see how they respond, in the email I also noted if they are not going to refund, I will take it further report this scam to the media.
