Am I doing it wrong, does AA not care or is this well known to AA and a way to create more revenue?
I took my mum and siblings to HNL/KOA this summer. Upgraded 2 people on 4-person and 1 person on the 2-person booking. We had to split the reservation in two to take advantage of the Century 10% codes. We never had a problem getting status benefits for the six of us so long as we checked in together. I do admit, however, that the process was stupid, and I was hoping that the AA site redesign would address that issue. Sadly, it doesn't.
