Do you think these terrorists who killed 1000s on September 11th would hesitate at using a child to smuggle explosives onto a plane and blow it out of the sky?
No, but then there's also no evidence that these intrusive searches make fliers any safer.

Here's a crazy idea. How about taking all of those resources (e.g., $200k per Rape-iscan machine) and using it to INVESTIGATE AND CATCH TERRORISTS before they even make it to the airport?

Another crazy idea... how about using all that money for bomb-sniffing dogs? The Discover channel show Mythbusters last night showed them trying to foil police dogs, and they weren't able to. It's probably a lot easier to foil the NoS machines than the dogs.

Unfortunately, however, companies like OSI Systems (ticker symbol: OSIS) can't make the big bucks off of taxpayers, and use that money to buy "consulting" services from Michael Chertoff (and Janet Napolitano, once she leaves office), if bomb-sniffing dogs are used.
