Terrible ground service even on a J tix. Terrible inflight service by crew who didn't seem too interested nor were able to communicate with any level of fluency in English. Add to that list mediocre catering and hard product.

Of course maybe it was a one off experience, although too many "terrible" stuff for me to try them again, alas I've never tried them long haul and probably won't.

Ahh, yea the good ol' LH! Their hard product is hardly a benchmark in Y, J or F but with LH you can at least expect consistency: Consistently mediocre hard product with consistently above average service experience with hit or miss catering.

My benchmarks are SQ and NH so can't really fault me for finding TK a bit "ugh".
I have to agree. TK experinece is 'ugh' at best or 'worse check-in ever' for me.
Had an OK TK floght from SIN to IST but that was a red ey so not much experience with the service in J as I slept or rested on the almost lie flat seat.
On same ITN, I had the worse experience at check-in EVER at IST. It took exactly 2 hours to get through the check=in at the buisness class check-in. No one told us what what goping on. Everyone had an issue at the check-in counter. Their system was malfunctioning and clients were sent back and forth with all their luggage from one wicket to another or to ticketing office. All that to say we had to run through passport control-more line ups!, run to the gate, go through another security control and then onto the bus. The flight left 90 minutes late which had many mising their connections in FRA.
Not impressed at all. In-flight srvice was OK- not spectacular like Singapore airlines.
