I disagree with everything you've said. If the hotel chooses to close the lounge during the week (when it would normally be operating) due to low demand, they owe breakfast or compensation to platinum members. I've stayed at many hotels during the holiday season and every single time, when the lounge was closed, I've automatically been given breakfast certs.
