Why can't the TSA be reassigned to border control & they can start over building a new security system at the airports?
The ones caught singling out attractive young women for a second screening will not be joining border control, they will have to register as sex offenders.
The ones who are too full of lard to lift a suitcase will go back to working in the garden center at WalMart.
I just want to not get naked at the airport. I want to travel during the winter without taking my boots off & getting my socks wet. I want to be spoken to by TSA in a normal tone of voice, not The Bark. I also want 2 LEOs present at every checkpoint, because without them, there's too much monkey business going around. I want less resistance & snotty attitude when I Opt Out. Also, Opt Out doesn't mean you make me wait half an hour, secretly hoping I will agree to the nudie machine. NO means NO.
Whatever happened to results-based accountability? TSA hasn't caught any terrorists in 10 years, and Bruce Schneier has gotten through with plenty of verboten items. If this were a publicly traded business, the stockholders would have threatened to pull. I think we, as Americans who pay the salaries of these overpaid underqualified bullies, need to let DHS know in no uncertain terms that we are threatening to pull.
There is no reason in this day & age to get violated by Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel at the airport.
