Here is some info on the
YVR Lounges.
British Airways
BA operates the Galleries lounges here which have been open for over two years already. (This lounge is not contracted to other airlines.) They are located next to gate D64, which is where BA86 and BA84 leave from. Lounge opening times vary. In summer (1st May to 30th September), five additional flights to London (BA86) are offered per week and the lounge opens at around 3pm. At all other times during the year the lounge opens around 5pm. (I would need to confirms these times).
Galleries First to the left and Galleries Club to the right of the reception/welcome area.
Usual BAEC and Oneworld rules apply for access. First lounge slightly smaller than club lounge, both are kind of L-shaped.
Food and Beverage:
Standard snack items such as crackers, crisps, and cheese available. Around two hours prior to departure (upon arrival of the BA plane at the gate) assorted wraps and sandwiches are brought out.
Standard Galleries beverages are available in both lounges. GF also has Johnny Walker Blue whisky label as well as Pol Roger champagne. ^
Amenities and business facilities:
Free Wifi is available throughout YVR, so no faffing about with passwords.

Computers available in both lounges (I think four in each), including printing capabilities if my memory serves me correctly. Flat screens in both lounges. Usual selection of magazines and papers. Though the selection of British papers on some days is somewhat lacking.
Other:
Loos are in Galleries Club. There is a door connecting the First and Club sections but it works only one way (or it does for me when I try to use it) so GF lounge users need to re-enter passing the reception area. There are no showers available. Announcements are made when the flight is ready for boarding.

Business and First Class lounges available. Passengers wishing to use the First Class lounge need to enter the business lounge, turn right and head straight through the glass door.
Food and Beverages:
A selection of crackers and crisps offered. Various small dim sum style snacks offered, as well as savoury rice wrapped in lotus leaf with Chinese sausage.
First lounge has champagne, last time (late October) there was Lanson. I prefer the First lounge as it has the nicer layout of the two lounges and feels a bit cosier.
NB: Lounge attendants can be a bit reluctant to let in non-CX passengers into the lounge.
