How do you claim your $100 if lounge is closed mid week and breakfast not provided

Elite Benefit Guarantees state:

Concierge Lounge Access, Platinum & Gold members

At participating Marriott hotels, JW Marriott hotels, Renaissance hotels and Autograph Collection hotels, you will always receive access to the Concierge/Executive Club Lounge during normal hours of operation. For Marriott hotels, JW Marriott hotels, Renaissance hotels or Autograph Collection hotels not operating a Concierge/Executive Club Lounge, we guarantee you will always receive your complimentary Healthy Start breakfast, Monday through Friday or we'll give you $100 USD. (Not available at resort locations).

If a hotel closes its lounge midweek because of a holiday, aren't Plats/Golds still to get breakfast M-F?

I called a hotel and they said the lounge was closed over the Thanksgiving period (4 days). Since the guarantee does not exclude holidays - isn't the hotel still to give you breakfast. In this case the desk clerk said they can offer it as a courtesy, but they never do offer it.

Isn't this grounds for the $100. How do you claim it?

The hotel in question is a Marriott owned hotel (not just managed) about 10 miles from Marriott Corporate offices.
