So is there something about B&R which more than makes up for this 'lost' space. If you lose space, why do so many of the experts here like B&R - the guarantee, design ???
You lose space and get a flat packing surface. I'm not as concerned with the space as the bullet proof constuction and warranty. I have beat the he'll outbof some B&R bags. Bouncing them up and down steps and so forth. For years and I have been top tier or second tier on two airlines for 15 years or so. Some of those B&R bags have been used for years and years of heavy use with no problems whatsoever.
