I suppose if you had wire threads embedded in your underwear, it could act like a Faraday cage, directing the current from a lightning strike away from the Crown Jewels. (in the same way that a car body protects you from the same event).

Or were you thinking more along the lines of the underwear concealing the signs of incontinence?
