You are correct to state that you can use BA Miles to upgrade AA and IB:

But I am pretty certain you cannot book LHR-SFO-LAS//MIA-LHR on one PNR; effectively a mixed carrier MFU, which is quite a different kettle of fish.

Happy to be corrected, but it doesn't stack up.
